This will be our 6th year hosting in Churchill, whether you are novice or advanced we will make sure your images exceed your expectations. Our B&B host and accomadations in Churchill assure a great time is had by all. Chas has lead over forty bear (black, brown, polar) workshops to date, and his extensive knowledge of bear and wildlife behavior translates into better imagery for the participant. Knowing what to expect and look for ahead of time can often make the difference between capturing a mediocre image and the photo of a lifetime.

for an unparalleled photographic workshop to photograph the polar bears and additional wildlife in Churchill, Manitoba. Located on the Hudson Bay, Churchill is a gathering ground for the regions polar bears as they wait for the bay to freeze. They can be found out on the tundra where they are accessible via specially designed buggies and also around the town where we will photograph them and other wildlife via 4WD vehicles.

This workshop is designed to enhance your visionary skills, as well as your technical understanding and execution. Special emphasis is placed on creating images with Visual Impact. Increase your proficiency while using compositional elements and light to design in-camera images that are a cut above. Every Instructional Photographic Workshop has but one goal offering the participant the most education for the dollar. Planned by a photographer for photographers, each is unique, dedicated to bringing you only the finest in photographic instruction.

We will have 4 full days of shooting from the buggies and two days from the ground around Churchill via 4WD vehicles. Additional wildlife typically includes red and arctic fox, ptarmigan, owls and artic hare. The Northern Lights are tyopically visible at this time of year.

The best way to get to Churchill is to fly/drive to Winnipeg and fly via Calm Air to Churchill. It is recommened that you arrive a day early, spending the night in Winnipeg before proceeding to Churchill to avoid weather and baggage delays.

To ensure the best photography and instruction possible, with ample space in the buggies to shoot from both sides of the vehicle, this workshop will have a maximum of 10 photo participants in a 40 passanger buggy.

The cost of this trip is $5495 and includes 7 nights accommodations (dbl occ) and breakfast at B&B, 4 buggy days on tundra,, 2 ground days via rental 4WDs. Singl occ may be available for additional fee upon booking. Please inquire for non-photo spouse availability. Participation only reserved on receipt of deposit.

Not included; transportation to and from Churchill, meals.

Terms: A $1000 non-refundable deposit per participant is required. Balance is due no later than 7/15/09 and is then non-refundable unless the tour sells out. If we do not receive your payment for the balance on or before the due date, or notification that payment has been sent, etc we will try to fill your spot.
