Ultimate Brown Bears of Alaska w/ Brooks Falls extension Join Award winning Master photographer Charles Glatzer, for an unparalleled photographic encounter with Alaska's brown bears. Participants will enjoy photographing bears for 3 days from our lodge/cabin base, as they fish for salmon along a wild river and 4 days (from dawn to dusk) as the bears pound fish in abundance from our safari style camp along a remote lakeshore. This is a highly productive workshop offering photographers unspoiled wilderness environments in which to shoot unique wild brown bear images. For those wishing to fly-fish the river host’s sockeye, chum, silver, grayling, char, rainbow trout and even pike. It is in a word AMAZING!!!! Having hosted almost 50 bear workshops to date Chas extensive knowledge of bear (black, brown, polar) behavior translates into better imagery for the participant. The little things often make the greatest difference. This
STL workshop is for advanced photographers who want to photograph brown bears up-close and personal, and other wildlife in a remote wilderness area
away from crowds. Our primary goal is to photograph brown bears feeding
on salmon within a variety of backgrounds. Natural behavior can frequently
be photographed at close range. Our small group and remote access
allows us to make the most of each wildlife encounter. Unlike other
facilities and camps, we have the luxury of staying on location for
extended periods without the pressure of crowds, away from any man
made structures. Daily review of images via a laptop computer, and
photo instruction along with post-production and PhotoShop techniques
will be discussed at length.
To ensure the best instruction and bear interaction possible this workshop will be limited to a maximum of six participants Our itinerary is flexible, and so we will discuss the options each evening before heading out the next morning. The days are long and photo opportunities are abundant. We will make every effort to put you in the right place at the right time. This is your workshop, and we aim to please. We have timed this workshop with the salmon run, and we look forward to capturing many wonderful images of brown bears chasing and feeding on fish. Additionallyy, this is the best time to sight and photograph wolves as they feed on the remains of salmon. Brown bear workshop fee $5595 includes; 8-days,1 night stay King Salmon, photo instruction, R/T float flights to lodge from King Salmon, all meals and double occ accomodations (only) while at the Lodge and Safari camp.
